Subject: Verification of IPPB transactions above Rs. 5 lakh by End users.

Sir,

1. I am directed to refer to Karnataka Circle’s letter No. FS/IPPB/02/Verification dated 16.05.2024 on the subject mentioned above and to state that the suggestion made by Circle regarding provision of system checks in place to verify flow of cash and genuineness of transactions has been examined in consultation with IPPB.

2. In this regard, it is stated that the purpose of sharing the high value transactions report is reconfirmation of tallying cash with system cash. Since tallying of physical cash with system cash is a manual activity, system based controls are not feasible for this activity as of now.

3. This is issued with the approval of DDG (PBI).
